Eleanor's three months old!

Cohen's Christmas program 2013

Cohen's Christmas program was last Wednesday, December 18. They sang Joy to the World, Silent Night, and Jingle Bells! It was so sweet! Enjoy the videos!

Cohen and Eleanor saw Santa!

In a temporary moment of insanity, Will and I bundled the kiddos up and took them to Gruene to see Santa Claus! It was 32 degrees outside so we left Eleanor all snug in her blanket and only had her face peeking out. The good thing was, at least there wasn't a long line! ;) Merry Christmas!

It's Christmastime!

Shelfie's back and we had our 2nd Annual North Pole Breakfast!

Yum! Reindeer pancakes with bacon antlers!

Shelfie was reading to Cohen's superheroes!

Shelfie taking a "bubble" bath in some marshmallows!
Christmas is one of my very favorite holidays, and there's something about having kids that makes it even more magical. Will and I have really had fun this year surprising Cohen every morning with Shelfie - our Elf on the Shelf. For those of you who aren't familiar, the Elf on the Shelf is supposed to be one of Santa's little helpers that comes every morning to your home to keep an eye on your children, then flies to the North Pole at night to report their good (and bad) behavior to Santa Claus. He's in a new place every morning, and you just never know where he'll be next! I haven't taken a picture every morning, but here are the ones we do have. More to come! :)

Update on Eleanor

Little one doing MUCH better on tummy time!

Just the girls at home! I love to snuggle her!

Eleanor has a little lovey blanket that she likes to snuggle when I rock her!

Bath time! One of her favorite things!
Eleanor is doing much better and is responding to physical therapy quite well. The torticollis is just about worked out - she has almost full range of motion in her neck. The issue we are contending with now is her shoulder. Her right shoulder girdle is not as strong as it needs to be which means she's not weight-bearing through that shoulder and elbow when she's on her tummy. We have a WONDERFUL physical therapist who is coming to see her at the house three times a week to help strengthen and work with her, so we're hopeful we can work through this, as well! We'll go back the end of this month (the 30th) to reassess the shape of her skull to see how things are progressing in terms of the plagiocephaly. We're still hopeful that we won't have to do the helmet, but if we do, we know it's what's best for Eleanor - and that's all that matters!

Cohen's Pre-K 3 picture

This is Cohen's Pre-K 3 school year picture. He looks so grown up! I'm so proud to be the momma of such a handsome young man! Time is flying entirely too fast, by the way!

Halloween 2013

The Big Bad Wolf and the littlest of the Three Little Pigs!

A skeptical piggie! (Cohen was standing over her and she didn't quite know what to think of that!)

Cute little piglet!

This one makes me giggle because it looks like she's saying, "No way, Wolf! You won't eat me!"

Cohen with his teacher, Ms. Mary!

The Big Bad Wolf and one of the other teachers, Miss Ashley, dressed as Little Red Riding Hood!

Scary wolf!

The Pig family and the Big Bad Wolf making his best wolf face! (excuse our moldy pumpkin! :) oops!)

A nicer wolf with the piggies again!
We had a very happy Halloween this year! It was fun to dress up and take Cohen (and Eleanor) trick-or-treating. Every stop we made, Cohen howled like a wolf before he said "trick or treat!!" Silly guy!

Eleanor's first trip to the zoo!

Cohen and Eleanor ready to visit the San Antonio Zoo!

Eleanor's best grumpy face!

Typical Eleanor fashion...crying and everyone else trying their best to smile!

Happy big brother!

Taking a break for some popcorn!

Happy guy!

We had fun at the zoo last week! Eleanor did ok until about two hours into it and then she was just mad. That's ok, daddy took Cohen on a train ride and mom took care of that fussy baby! Divide and conquer!

Pumpkin Patch 2013

Cohen investigating the hay-bail spider!

Still checkin' it out!

He finally decided that it wasn't scary and that it was pretty neat, so we took a picture in front of it with an actual smile!

There's something about being three-years-old that prevents you from looking at the camera!

Silly gooses!

I LOVE this picture!

My little punkin'!

We are so blessed!

Oh my...please excuse my frazzled hair and lack of makeup - I am doing good these days to NOT stay in my pajamas all day! (And for those of you who don't know why, Eleanor is very colicky...we're going through a rough time right now!)

Such a handsome boy!
We visited the Bracken UMC Pumpkin Patch on Friday evening. Eleanor cried the entire way there which made me worry that we wouldn't have a nice time OR get very good pictures, but once we got there (and got a clean diaper), she actually behaved herself! She's been pretty fussy for the past few weeks, and according to our pediatrician, colic tends to last until they're about 3 months old, so we are battening down the hatches and preparing for a rough road until about Christmas time. In the meantime, we are enjoying both of our kiddos - even when they're both crying and grumpy! :) Happy Fall! (and stay tuned for the cutest Big Bad Wolf and Three Little Pigs you've ever seen on Halloween!)
