Random cuteness...

Sleepy girl!

Best. Picture. Ever. :)

Eleanor HATES tummy time.

Cohen said, "Look mom! I'm laying like Eleanor!"

Sweet little smile!

Bug just hanging out next to Eleanor...just chewin' his bone!

Cohen and daddy reading Go Away Big Green Monster!

One day last week, Cohen came home from school and couldn't wait to hold his baby sister!

Eleanor's first trip to the zoo!

Cohen and Eleanor ready to visit the San Antonio Zoo!

Eleanor's best grumpy face!

Typical Eleanor fashion...crying and everyone else trying their best to smile!

Happy big brother!

Taking a break for some popcorn!

Happy guy!

We had fun at the zoo last week! Eleanor did ok until about two hours into it and then she was just mad. That's ok, daddy took Cohen on a train ride and mom took care of that fussy baby! Divide and conquer!

Pumpkin Patch 2013

Cohen investigating the hay-bail spider!

Still checkin' it out!

He finally decided that it wasn't scary and that it was pretty neat, so we took a picture in front of it with an actual smile!

There's something about being three-years-old that prevents you from looking at the camera!

Silly gooses!

I LOVE this picture!

My little punkin'!

We are so blessed!

Oh my...please excuse my frazzled hair and lack of makeup - I am doing good these days to NOT stay in my pajamas all day! (And for those of you who don't know why, Eleanor is very colicky...we're going through a rough time right now!)

Such a handsome boy!
We visited the Bracken UMC Pumpkin Patch on Friday evening. Eleanor cried the entire way there which made me worry that we wouldn't have a nice time OR get very good pictures, but once we got there (and got a clean diaper), she actually behaved herself! She's been pretty fussy for the past few weeks, and according to our pediatrician, colic tends to last until they're about 3 months old, so we are battening down the hatches and preparing for a rough road until about Christmas time. In the meantime, we are enjoying both of our kiddos - even when they're both crying and grumpy! :) Happy Fall! (and stay tuned for the cutest Big Bad Wolf and Three Little Pigs you've ever seen on Halloween!)

Eleanor is 1 month old! (and a cute Cohen picture, too!)

I love this picture of Cohen - it symbolizes everything that makes him smile these days! This boy LOVES superheroes!

Eleanor's newborn photos!

Will is becoming quite the photographer...but how could he not with such a pretty little model! :)

Welcome to the world, Eleanor Grace!

My last belly picture...and you can't even tell how big I am! That's what happens when baby comes on her own!

On her way to the nursery!

Sweet sleeping girl!

Big brother's first meeting with his new baby sister!

He wanted to take her hat off...

...so he could touch her hair!

Sweet kisses!

She looks like a baby doll in this one!

Mommy snuggles...

...and Daddy snuggles!

My beautiful flowers from my boys!

On Saturday, September 21, 2013, Eleanor decided she was ready to enter this world on her own - she wasn't going to wait around for Sunday morning for Mom to be induced! I started having contractions around 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon, and after laboring at the house for about 2 1/2 hours, I told Will he should probably shower because we needed to head to the hospital. When we got there shortly before 6:00 pm, it was clear that she was indeed on her way! My water broke while I was getting my epidural around 7:00 and by 8:00, it was time to start pushing.

Eleanor Grace Kent was born at 8:39 pm, weighing 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 19 1/4 inches long. We never would have expected such a teeny-tiny little thing, considering her big brother was 8 pounds! All went well with delivery and recovery, and we came home on Monday morning. Things are going well here at home - she has her witching hour, though, and is pretty fussy from about 12-2 every morning! That's okay with me, though - at least she's got strong lungs! Hehe!

We are so proud of our new family of four. Cohen adores her and is a terrific big brother. It's certainly been an adjustment to having two kiddos. We are still figuring out how to make sure Cohen has his time and we don't occupy ourselves constantly with Eleanor, but I'm sure that's how it is with every family! Needless to say, we couldn't be happier!
