Videos of our sweet, smart, silly kiddos!

Cohen's interpretive dance!

Eleanor giggles at her daddy! (And Cohen does, too - which is much louder because he was sitting closer to the camera...)

Cohen is a writer and an illustrator!

Trip to the Austin Zoo

The biggest tortoise we've ever seen!

It was a little chilly, so Eleanor kept herself bundled up!

This goat loved Cohen...

...because he kept feeding...

...ONLY her!
And this axis deer ALSO loved Cohen - she licked him all over like a dog!

Riding the train on a beautiful day!
Eleanor had a check-up at Cranial Technologies on Tuesday morning, so we decided to visit the Austin Zoo while we were in town! We had never been before, and it's a nice zoo. Next time, we'll definitely leave the stroller in the car - the paths aren't very stroller-friendly!

Cohen's playing T-Ball!

Opening Day ceremonies! He looks so tiny out there!

Sweet smile!

Eleanor and her Papa!
Cohen convinced Papa to throw the ball for him so he could "get some practice."

Then he told Gigi that he needed a catcher!

Excited to watch big brother play ball!

He's such a ham!

Look at those red cheeks!

Sister needed 40 winks during the middle of the game!

Runnin' home!

She caught the end of the game, at least!
This spring, Cohen is playing his first season of T-Ball for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Youth Sports Organization. We're so excited - and so is he! Cohen must be a natural ball player - because although he's one of the youngest on the team, he's definitely one of the most advanced in terms of skill and ability. We're very proud! Can't wait for a season full of busy weekends and lots of baseball! Go Tigers!

Pretty baby!

We are officially "getting around!" She starts on her mat every time and either scoots or rolls to wherever she wants to go! Time to baby-proof...again!

Just doing some light reading!

That's a happy girl!

I love that face!

This was her *official* six-month picture, but her appointment isn't until Thursday 3/27, so I haven't done her "stats" pic yet!

A back view of her DOC Band... "Just fixin' my melon"!

Update on Cohen, too!

Cohen made an alien mask at The Witte Museum for Aliens and Androids day!

His prizes from winning the Show Us Your Smile contest - The Tooth Book by Dr. Seuss and a $20 gift card to Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt!

Celebrating Dr. Seuss week at school, this picture was taken on Wacky Clothes day! Silly turkey!

Check out that ball-player!
We've been quite consumed with little sister lately, but Cohen's had a lot going on, too! Between winning contests and starting t-ball, he's a busy guy! I snapped that picture at the bottom as he was playing catch with his daddy last week during his first t-ball practice. After I looked at it a little closer when we got home, I had a moment of "mom shock" (and yes, I did just make up a phrase).... Mom shock is when you look at a picture of your own child(ren) and you can't believe they are about to be ____ years old (in Cohen's case, HE'S ABOUT TO BE 4 YEARS OLD?!?!) Where has the time gone?

Bath time fun!

Now, that's some wild hair!

Eleanor is going to LOVE bath time because that's the time she gets to take off that band and rinse off her head - that has most likely been sweaty a-l-l day! The video is precious - she should be called Hurricane Eleanor! (She got water EVERYWHERE!!)

Operation Fix-a-Flat!

This was the day we went in for her official measurements.

And here we are, Friday, March 7 just waiting to get our new "hat."

Just havin' some tummy time while we wait!

Oh! Hey, Momma!

And here we are, home at last. I think this is Eleanor's "I have to wear this HOW MANY hours a day" face.

But maybe it won't be so bad. First nap in her crib with her band on.
The stinkin' thing gives that pretty baby "angry eyes," though. Her Papa got it right when he said, "It's what's in her heart that counts, and she's a happy baby!"
We officially got Eleanor's DOC Band on Friday, March 7. The first day, she was only able to wear it for about 3 hours because when we took it off, we saw lots of red spots - which signal either heat or pressure, and neither are spots that we want to see. Saturday was a little better. We were able to go three 3-hour rounds with it on, but we still didn't make her sleep in it. As of today, she's only had it off for about 15 minutes or so because we are no longer seeing the red spots. I suppose that means she's acclimating to it well. Honestly, she's doing a lot better in it than I am. Quite frankly, I hate it. I hate that she has to wear the stupid thing and I hate the stares we get when we're in public - like something is wrong with her. Time will fly with her in it - or at least I hope so - and then we'll look back on it and be glad we took care of it when we did. It's a relatively easy fix right now, and will take care of what could be potentially challenging problems to "fix" in the future. I'm trying to remain as positive as I can around her, though. No reason to cause her any concern. She really is quite a happy baby these days - helmet or not! Our next follow-up appointment will be Friday, March 14 and then we can "bling" her band! Stay tuned for updates throughout this journey with Miss Eleanor!

Eleanor is 5 months old!

Mommy and Eleanor time!

Hanging out in the Jump-a-Roo for the first time!

This is kind of fun!

Sleepy baby! She was sleeping in this morning!

First time in the high-chair...

...trying to figure out how to get the buckles off!

Beautiful baby!
