This one is just for you, Granmum!

Cohen has been, of course, learning to read at school and is doing so well! He FaceTimes with his Papa at least once a week to read to him, but I told him since we couldn't do the same with you, we could record him and I'd post it here for you to see.

Little sister couldn't be left out, after all, so when Cohen was done reading, she had her turn (she's reading Even Monsters Need Haircuts). She didn't have a lot to say, but her facial expressions are great!

As the year goes on, we'll try to post more videos of him reading. He's doing wonderfully and we are very proud of him! Enjoy!

We're building a house!

This picture was taken a few weeks ago of Cohen standing in what will be his new bedroom!

...and from the other side.

View of the back of the house from just down the street.

Taken this past Wednesday - we have drywall! This is standing inside our front door.

This is what will be the Master Bathroom.

This will be my glorious kitchen and planning desk area.

Thew view from the kitchen into the living room.

View from the hallway to the kids rooms looking into the formal dining area/entryway to kitchen.
After m-a-n-y lengthy conversations between Will and myself, we have decided that the Houston area is the place we want to put roots down for our family. We really like it here and we feel like this is the best place for us! We have begun building a custom home in the Conroe/Woodlands area of Houston. We absolutely cannot wait for it all to be finished. Cohen asks us once a week (at least) if we can go by and see the progress that's been made. They're really moving right along and our prayers are that they'll be done by early to mid-December. We'd really love to be able to celebrate Christmas in our new home!

Eleanor's 2nd birthday!

All ready to head into the Downtown Aquarium for Eleanor's birthday!

Eleanor was super terrified of the tiger statue behind us! She was holding on to me SO tight and she didn't want to smile for the picture!

Getting ready to ride the train!

Handsome brother!

Loving the carousel!

My beautiful girl!

Cohen needed to "cool down" under the misters!

We had a fun morning at the aquarium!

After lunch and a quick nap in the car, we came home to celebrate her birthday with family, dinner, cake, and presents!

Opening her presents!

She loves her new horsey!

This is the face she was making as I was bringing her cake over... Silly girl!

This was taken on the morning of her actual birthday! Our pretty girl is getting so big!
Eleanor had a fun 2nd birthday and party. She really enjoyed going to the aquarium, and we were so thankful that her Papa, Gigi, and Mimmy were able to come and help her celebrate that afternoon! She is doing great with her words and is growing like a weed! Being in school (in such a student-centered program) has really made a difference in her development. We couldn't have asked for better teachers for her! She still has a ways to go with her expressive language, but she's making great strides and we are very proud of our Miss Eleanor!
