Summer vacation to DFW!

When we arrived in Fort Worth on Sunday afternoon, we decided to go play Putt-Putt. Cohen had never been before and he got a hole-in-one on his first hole! Golf pro in the making, I'd say!

Sweet Daddy helping him "line it up!"
Cohen's first trip to the Fort Worth Zoo!

He really liked the gorillas. He kept waving at them hoping they'd wave back at him!

My boys!

Jaxson and Cohen checking out the saltwater crocodile. It was enormous!!

Mom (and Eleanor) and Cohen about to go into the MOLA!

A little standoffish, but very intrigued!

A thumbs up saying this is all pretty neat!

This photo is proof that my child is braver than I am! I can't believe he touched this snake!

"Mom, wook at this huge lizard!"

Not sure how we got a *guns up* in this one...

Taking a little lunch break!

I love this one. So sweet riding the merry-go-round!

With cousin Jaxson riding the train!

Random last photo from the zoo trip...Cohen thought it was so funny the turtle was riding the alligator!
Later on in the day after the zoo, we went swimming (which I have no pics of because it's hard to take pictures when you're wet)...Anywhoo, when it was time to leave, Cohen decided he didn't want his swimsuit on in the car, but all I had was underwear, so this is his "What? I'm gonna ride in the car in my underwear?" face! Silly guy!

Watching TV the next day with Jaxson.

Tuesday afternoon at LegoLand! He probably went up and down this slide 100 times!

Checking out all the Duplo in Duplo Village!

Cousin Jeffery helping Cohen build a car to race!

For those of you who haven't heard, I've had a fairly challenging pregnancy this time around with Miss Eleanor, including one trip to Labor and Delivery at only 23 weeks. Needless to say, I've been instructed to take it easy this summer, and to stay fairly close to home. That being said, we canceled our plans to go to New Orleans for our summer vacation, and went to DFW to spend some time with Melinda and the boys for a few days. We had a great time, and thoroughly enjoyed being able to show Cohen lots of great places in Fort Worth that he had never been before. It sure did make us miss being up there, though, and tears were shed when we loaded the car and headed back to Cibolo. Fort Worth will always feel like "home" for Will and me both, and we can't wait til we get an opportunity to move our family back up there! In the meantime, though, we're making the best of Central Texas...even though it's hotter than Hades and it seems like somebody in this family is sick every time we turn around. We'll be home someday...sooner than later, I hope! :)
